New Head of Sales at Pluginvest, Tom Cambien

The strong growth of Pluginvest goes hand in hand with a strong growth in employee numbers. The search for further professionalisation inevitably led to the appointment of a Head of Sales who fits Pluginvest's activities well. The search has now come to an end with the recruitment of Tom Cambien, a 42 year-old from Antwerp with a lot of experience in the Automotive sector at companies such as Honda Motor Europe in the Benelux Branch.

Due to the expansion of the sales department, further structuring had to take place. This led to the need for a Head of Sales. With Tom Cambien, Pluginvest is bringing in an experienced sales manager from the automotive sector. He started his career at VW - Audi as commercial representative and built his career at companies such as Renault Belux, Fiat Group Auto Belgio, GM and Honda Motor Europe. Tom was active at Honda Motor Europe the longest, with more than 8 years of working there, where he developed himself from a District Sales Manager to Sales Manager Automobile Division in the Benelux, to finally become Head of Motorcycle Division of the Benelux. Finally, with experience in the maritime sector, at Brunswick Marine, Tom Cambien proves himself to be a versatile Head of Sales.

Enormously growing company with future-proof characteristics

Tom Cambien says he's really looking forward to a new chapter at a sustainable company like Pluginvest. His experience fits in perfectly with Pluginvest’s activities, where everyone is working on a sustainable future. The announcement of the Colruyt Group and the Cardoen family as shareholdershas also provided an extra push to Pluginvest's activities and visibility.

“The confidence of these two shareholders in Pluginvest will help us to further expand our team and network together with investing in smart control software for our charge points that will keep the peak load of the electricity network as low as possible.”  Tom Cambien says. 

Both Tom and Pluginvest immediately sensed that there was a match. They both share the belief that by joining forces, a bright future awaits both parties. According to Pluginvest, companies play an active role in the energy transition and with Tom's expertise in the automotive sector, both wish to accelerate this transition even further.
